Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.

Stephanie Scott, LCSW

I have been a social worker for over 15 years providing mental health services to children and adults to ensure they are capable of managing lifestyle changes or uneasiness within interpersonal relationships. Allow me to be the therapist to help you feel more balanced, self-assured, mindful, and confident in all aspects of your life. If you are hoping to curate a more balanced, self-assured, mindful, and confident lifestyle this can be achieved through developing positive and effective coping mechanisms. I will assist you with uplifting your spirit, improving your outlook on life, and developing a renewed sense of purpose and drive. The quest for inner peace can be accomplished by developing a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

Certified. Responsive. Compassionate.

I’ve never considered therapy before. Why would it be a good option for me now?

Ask yourself, why wouldn't I deserve this investment in myself? Those who ask for help know that they are no longer able or willing to handle their problems on their own. You already have some strengths that you’ve used before, that for whatever reason aren’t working right now, but all is not lost. During sessions, you will learn to identify new coping skills and tap into newfound strengths.

What’s the benefit of speaking with a mental health professional?

A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a safe space, free of judgment or expectations, teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, therapy is completely confidential.
